Nabiki Tendo in this live action is a cross-hybrid of herself attitude (money-maker) with Akemi from Maison Ikkoku. Instead of being student, she depicted as hostess just like Akemi and so with Genma & Soun discussing their matters at bar just like majority Maison Ikkoku characters at nearby bar.

Some modern inventions in this live action e.g. Using of digital camera by Gosunkugi compared to anime version using Polaroid, so that Akane came to him and easily deleted snapped pics.

Guys,enough of the whole thing about Ryoga and Ukyo not being around, your forgetting even in the anime version they didn't appear in a couple of episodes ago, they probably will shortly appear in a couple of episodes probably even Shampoo.

i understand they are trying to make this like season 1 so shampoo and Ukyo are not their neither happosai etc.. but, Ryoga is the one who cut akane hair off so i dont understand why he isn't here and also Kodachi kuno's sister who was in season 1 i believe . Principal kuno comes way later however their is no need to add filler a character for his role. Overall im scared to wacth this but i will for being a Ranma 1/2 fan !

oh well kasumi was after all a figment of one's imagination, no one can be that perfect in real life, not that i know someone to be.........
