"Bamboo Under the Moonlight", played on a "Hulusi" - a traditional wind instrument from the southern China's Dai culture.
The hulusi is a free reed wind instrument with three bamboo pipes passing through a gourd wind chest. Pure, clarinet-like sound. Distributed by Tubemogul.
It sounds really amazing to me, I really fell inlove with the music, culture dance etc :)

I learned to play this on the hulusi while visiting Yunnan, and I like to play it for friends. I heard it everywhere there, both live and from recordings, and found several CDs. YouTube has many videos with this song. Does anyone know anything about the history--is it a traditional Dai folk song? Does anyone have an English translation of the lyrics? (Aldyraidy, did you ever find out anything about this?)
