Footpaws are always so EXPENSIVE. fursuiters sell them for nearly $100-150!

These footpaws are cheap, comfortable HOWEVER- if they're used outdoors, there's always the chance they'll rip.

So far the cost for getting all the foam on there is about $15 including the socks, goop contact clue, and the green foam at a local fabric store.

WOW!

The fur will cost around $20 or so, for a full yard (if you can find it cheaper DON'T HESITATE!) so the total cost altogether will probably be only $30 or so.

CHEAP for pretty realistic feetpaws! :D

(if you REALLY want to go all out, but at more expense, try using football socks- they're higher, but there's less chance for skin to show if your pants raise some.)

ps- this video was made while the glue was still drying. Once it was dry... there was NO WAY that foam was EVER coming off that sock!

Now...

what color should I make them... black? (fox paws!)

  • what kinda foam is this?

  • high density foam- NEVER go to Joann's for it. I'd go to a local fabric store, or better yet Hobby Lobby- they have a block of it for only $10 that's good for at least a couple pairs of feet.

  • at joanns they sell fur for 10 bucks

but you may or may not find the fur that you r lookin for..... trust me.....i've had my dissapointments.......but still try it. =3

  • joann's fur is obscenely expensive- everything there is. I don't even bother going -.-

You can find great deals on fur online- I got two years of high quality fur for $15- you just have to look around :3

  • Do you have a tutorial on how to fur them? I made paws like that and I don't know how to fur it o3o; XD

  • I'll make that soon :) Really it's just the same as furring anything else- just... you have to be more careful, and use something NON hot-glue gun lol Because you have to do it while it's still on your foot to make it look good.

Also, cut a strip in the back, make it a little larger and put velcro back there. It'll make it look SO much better, and it'll still conform to your leg.

  • @phoenixwildfire

were did u get that? I have been going to joanns, like 8$ for a half FRICKEN YARD

  • Do you actually make these as commission

  • its alot better to go to the store and just buy so super cheap shoes and make them its easier and more expensive but less alot less likely to rip and or break or anything like that

  • Hey have you made them yet and what kind of foam do you use

  • SOOOO much easyer to make. THANKU! this idea is brilliant!

  • @phoenixwildfire i was at joann's and their fur was about $11.25 / yard which compared to everything online i found was $20+ >.> only thing is, like you said, joanns is VERY limited

  • @1Julyet oh .-.

  • @phoenixwildfire What about a low-temp hot glue gun? I'm going to be putting them on a shoe to make them pro-outdoor wear, so would a hot glue gun work for that?

  • The reason why they cost so much is due to labor. being a beginner in fursuit building it does cost a lot for all materials. alone, if you build a head for yourself with a sewing lattice frame, itll cost about 100 USD depending on how much fur you need, the types of fur needed and all the little doodads. the prices get inflated due to how many manhours it takes to create them. plus the talent and or skill.

  • @theclawdeenwolf123 thats all. didn't you listen to her?
