True feminism would be a protest for the draft. Feminism now is about exceptions to the rules and special treatment for women not equality.

So public reaction is a reason we shouldn't try and employ rightful laws?
Back during the slave days, public reaction was the reason slavery wasn't abolished sooner. Public reaction was the reason it took so long for women to get the vote. Sure it'll hold us back, but we shouldn't give up because of it.
As for the resulting damage...ever heard of the Bataan Death March? Let me quote wikipedia in my next comment:

Right now the military will draft anybody they can. I don't think they need to start a draft for women. It seem like women will go into the military on their own if they feel like it.

There is no need for US soldiers to fight in the Middle-East to secure oil because scientists have already discovered an unlimited supply of Free-Energy many years ago.
