Most of videos in here are not educative at all.What is important with learner drivers is the extent upon which they will turn the steering wheel to direct the car to an appropriate position.What most ovideos are showing here is quite unhelpful to say the least.The position of the car is important and the degree on which the learner turns the steering are very crucial elements to get the car on an accurate positioning while maintaining observations as well.

@skhle The problem with videos is being limited to putting across the basic points - if everything was included the video would finish up being 20 minutes long and veeeery boring! To describe the amount of steering could take forever, for the simple reason that every car and every corner is different - there is no set amount of steering on this manoeuvre. The answer is learn about the manoeuvre and then practice, practice, practice.

thanks for the great video ,i hate the reverse left i seriously cannot do it i always end up snaking out ,ive failed my test 4 times now cos of this seriously hope i dont get it next time !! : /

@darkprincess62 If it helps, snaking is usually caused by two things - first missing the point of turn (so practice that) and second not correcting early enough. The second you see you are creeping towards or away from the kerb, make a correction - leave it too late and you finish up snaking :-) Good luck next time.

great vid...question. i get confused with this maneuver, i dont know when the point of turn is and how much to put on the steerring wheel, this makes me slightly snake out i also dont know where to look whilst turning and how much to put on the steering whilst turning. any tips? thanks

@duxluver It's a British video. I can't think of a single reason to use American spelling. There's no such language as british, by the way, it's English. :-)

as soon as you see the white lines appear in the left mirror, 3/4 steering to the left. If the gap between the car and curb is getting too big, turn the steering wheel left. If the gap is getting too small, you need to steer right. Simples.

the funy thing is in the real world if you actually do this manouver other drivers get annoyed it seems. i find it pretty sad that people get annoyed at normality. thats the whole problem with driving in general is no matter how you obey the rules it just doesn't work. flying on the other hand is absolute precision which is why i prefer it.
