Breathe. I wasn't trying to make this about politics. I was trying to point out that whatever your stances on drugs may be, there is no excuse for not paying taxes to the country in which you live, if you have a solid income and are using services that those taxes fund. PUBLIC services people take for granted -not welfare. How the government unfairly uses those taxes in some cases is another matter entirely. I would suggest you write to your congressmen, and not to me.

Third, our government just bailed out banks with more than a TRILLION dollars. Whatever "government-funded services" you believe drug-dealers are abusing in your ignorant made-up reality in your head, it is a tiny drop in the bucket compared to the massive amount of taxpayer money given to private military contractors, corporations, and pharmaceutical companies who price-fix prescription drugs thanks to lobbying. You need to do your fucking research before shitting out right-wing talking points.

First, convicted drug dealers are not eligible for most benefits like housing & welfare. Second, large corporations and people who make 500k and above pay fewer taxes than the average middle-class person thanks to numerous tax breaks, subsidies, and loopholes. The wealthy pay a lower tax rate today than the past 60 years while owning a larger share of the nation's wealth (the top 2% owns 95% of the wealth). They reap far more from our public infrastructure and services than they pay in.
