After nearly a month of cloudy and rainy days, the sun shined brightly with blue skies. And the Saturday timing couldn't have been better. On this walk I head south from SWR schools along a wide Power Line right of way. This section of the preserve is hilly and it is along the glacial moraine. In this video I show you a rather large Eastern Box turtle sunning itself along the path. I saw many interesting creatures on this hike, be sure to watch Part 2 also!

  • Glad to see you got to the pines again, Nice turtle. Peace

  • It was wonderful to finally see some blue sky. I think we're finally breaking out of the dreary pattern.

  • I know this is an older video, but had to chime in and educate you on that turtle for when you see them in the future. That was a Red ear slider, the old common dime store turtle that people have dumped for years and is now an invasive species in most of our ponds and lakes. They still sell them everywhere as well.

  • New cam takes great pics! Were the power lines humming a little too? I find that I'm not tolerating the heat well either this yr. The humidity even less!

  • Iam so glad to see you back thier elevatorpowerli lmao
