@MrsAnimexoverload Depends on what you do though. There will be a quest right be fore you set off to the spire that will need you to kill shadow worshippers and stop the poisoning of the Golden Acorn. and the quest is called "Defender of Light". You do this quest, then when you come back from the spire, Oakfield will be beautiful as always.

Fable 1 + 2 are the games I liked the most. So many memories.
Fable III was overhyped one again by Molenyeux. Hopefully Fable IV will be satisfactory.

I literally did not want to leave Oakfield when I first arrived, it such a dream home for me. So naturally once the main quests were done, I bought a home, got a family and became a woochopper ;)
