Interaction Grass - Project by Frits Stam

This short films illustrates the process of developing the concept of interaction grass.
The Interaction Grass concept exists out of a heightened platform with interactive grass on top. The grass consists of the actual grass fibers, lighting fibers and conductive fibers. The actual grass fibers are what the Interaction Grass makes the interaction relaxing. The grass is associated with calm nature and its tactile sensations are relaxing as well. The lighting fibers are special glass fibers that emit the light. With the conductive fibers the system can register where the users places its hands.

I lvoe this! Personally I would love to have an indoor porch that was enclosed from the weather but that I could decorate in any woodsy or jungle style I could imagine. This would be a GREAT addition as the ground texure using immitation grass and since the "trip" wires are capacitance activated it would require you to walk around barefoot which be so cool. Love it, thanks for sharing!

personally, i think that if used, it should be completely fiber optics, with rows of leds and the nearest ones light up based on touch
