Joe Strummer was more genuine than anyone in the English punk scene. He was such an excellent human being. I cried every day for weeks, when he died. Love to Lucinda.

...at 1:18 "looking forward to the time...." Tragic that he never got to enjoy that time.
Loved the Clash to bits, still do and to be honest I appreciate Joe more now than when jumpin around like a loony 30 years ago.
Wish I'd met him in the same situation as I met Johnny Rotten last year. Whatever the media may portray about Lydon he is a nice guy too underneath the persona. Me & my daughter spoke to him in a hotel bar for over an hour about life, death the universe & everything else.

God bless this man. He's pulled me from the abyss many times.

@knightm27 So did I, at the NEC.

The Future is Unwritten is such a great documentary. I get such a complete feeling watching it... I feel like I'm around the campfire with Joe and everyone. He included everybody. He's not gone!

Strummer was one smart dude. Never lost his wits and never lost his fire. Yes, Cut the Crap suggested otherwise: exception that proves the rule.
Gone way too soon.
