Who will direct the Wolverine sequel? We have that story right now.

Hey guys, I'm Amanda Janner, and you're watching Clevver Movies.

Wolverine 2 is scheduled to shoot in early 2011. Christopher McQuarrie will write the script, but who will be in the director's chair?

Sources say two directors are up to helm the seqeul to X Men Origins: Wolverine. They are David Slade and Robert Schwentke. Although, one report says it will be Slade. Both directors have been approved by Fox. However, we hear it is Hugh Jackman- who is also a producer for the film- who will make the final decision. Jackman will be back to reprise his role as Logan.

Director David Slade recently directed The Twilight Saga's Eclipse, while Schwentke is best known for his work in films Tattoo and Flightplan.

Be sure to hit our comments section and tell us what you think of the Wolverine 2 and who you would like to see direct the sequel. Stay with us on Clevver Movies for more of the latest movie updates. Thanks for watching.

  • Remember it said that Hugh Jackman will also be one of the directors and he was once stated as saying that had he gotten the roll wrong everyone everywhere would spit on him. Suffice it to say I highly doubt he will allow them to turn him into a male, lipstick wearing, turtleneck, gushy, pathetic, limp... heck I'm running out of adjectives here, help me people...

  • Heres a good idea, how about none of them direct it?

  • 2012=marvel yer..so many marvel movies coming in this year..it will be awesome!

  • i like twilight and the marvel directors. but they are two different things, this movie needs to be more savage and i dont think twilight directors are a big help in this situation. in my opinion let the amazing genious Stan Lee decide. thumbs up if you agree

  • @ilder7 Well the way the 3rd ended had Xavier coming back to life through the body of that comatose dude. & it also showed that the "cure" wore off. I just wanted to see more of that. lol

  • @0Logasm0 I don't know...kinda looked like they blew it. Although id like a 4'th movie, they killed Cyclops, Jean and Xavier. They focused too much on Iceman and Rouge (God forbid "Sookie" to return as Rogue). I don't know why they removed Nightcrawler from the third movie, but it was probably for the best since they messed up. X-men origins: Wolverine is the best Spin-off I've ever seen :)

  • I'm sick of the prequel/origin stuff. Don't get me wrong, I still love them, but why can't it go back and continue where the 3rd left off?

  • heres an idea just dont make the movie

  • david slade as director :- ....Jackman you look too manly, Halle Berry your the new wolverine :)

  • Anyone have any news on this movie?

  • How about we don't ruin X-Men again! How about that!!

  • We need a mixture of John Woo, and Peter Jackson.
