  • had mine just dive straight down on my maiden flight. fortunately i was quite high at lease 800 feet. lost connection for some reason, but at the last minute connection was restored and it looped. even though it regained connection, i almost lost it again from not reacting to it. thought it was doomed. so far, this bird lives another day. need to upgrade the motor. did your new motor change the cg? made it nose heavy?

  • @boywaimea I had the same thing happen to me, don't use that stock radio it sucks... Yes changing the motor does shift the cg. I just moved the batt back a little and it was fine.

  • wow great vertical climb on the plane. Are you using the stock set up?

  • @Boot2yourHead Not stock, check out "Phoenix 2000 Glider With Motor upgrade" think I listed all upgrades there.

  • Think if anyone out there wants a good glider stock you can't beat this one. If you adjust the control horns it throws a lot of big tricks,,,,,,, Never! I Repeat, Never use that stock radio that comes with the RTF. Had lots of interference problems with the Lanyu radio, a friend of mine bought one and had the same problems. Motor upgrade is easy, just watch this bird at high speed.... Over all great for the money...

  • Stomping on the wing really helps (!)

  • @planeboy737 Felt really good LoL... The truth is that, this plane doesn't cost very much, the motor and, esc upgrade cost almost as the plane without radio. Got my new one last week,,,,,, working on some things to make it more stable at high speed...

  • orange reciver is good btw

  • at first it was the orange receiver losing connection. i changed it and it's been better. i think the clevis for the elevator horn broke. the rudder clevis broke during assembly. i changed it. maybe i should have change both clevis. both surfaces work well, so far. nothing is a guarantee. it's the only complaint i have about the plane. it flies nice and seems to always catch a thermal.

  • @boywaimea Think maybe you elevator servo can't handle the torque? I used to like diving back down to low altitudes with my parkzone radian, and noticed that I couldn't pull it out of the dives. At first I thought it was because I had lost signal to the plane, but after a few times, I mounted my cam backwards on it to look at the control surfaces and noticed that my elevator wasn't able to move in a steep dive(hence, weak servo), so now, I'm upgrading my servos to high torque servos.
