@Amidat yes, they were made to pay france reparations for slavery being forced to pay 90 million gold francs to the people who used you as slaves, they were forced to borrow money from england, spain, america and a few other so called colonial powers.these payments were made up until 1945, they helped paid for frances war efforts. then the dictators were installed they had unlimited powers as long as they did not get friendly with communist countries russia, china or etc.

CIA - the terrorist arm of the US Government and EU corporations. Still in business. Well, the Jamaican 1970's economy did 'scream' and Manley got the blame instead of the 'invisible' CIA. Today in the 21st century our economy is being shut down by EU corporations like toll-road Boygues, Cable&Wireless, Digicel, etc. Any money Jamaicans spend in their own country goes to an EU corporation--- and the wealth is repatriated to Europe. They give us 'human rights' and take all the economic rights.

@PrimeReality - well Haiti's "problem" is that the led a revolt against colonial masters being blacks. They were heavily burdened with debt that completely crippled them because countries refused to trade with them. Aside from the voodoo... that was a wound that was almost impossible to heal... you can't build a nation without trade.

Please dont call these people who did this to Jamaica " Americans" the truth is the same private corporations that take advantage of third world countries, are the SAME one who deprieve the average American citizens here and we just dont know it. So, please dont get it twisted. Americans right now are suffering because of banking and corporate greed, you see the truth is after raping all the worlds counrties dry, these greedy corporations have no one but the citizens of america to destroy

@markezeh As a US citizen, I'm so sorry for the things that have been done to Jamaica, Haiti, Vietnam, El Salvador, Mexico, Guatemala, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Libya, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Nicaragua, Honduras, and the list could go on and on.... we are powerless here. My people have been brainwashed, and put to sleep. They believe the lies of our government, and it seems that no matter who we vote for, the result is the same. We're as much victims as you are. I still am very sorry.
Is this John Stockwell? If so, thanks for posting. I have read his books. He was the CIA station chief who went after Jamican Prime Minister, Michael Manley on orders of Kissinger, Nixon and Gerald Ford to destabilize our country so that Alcan/Reynolds Aluminium could take control of our bauxite. Yes, this was the root cause of civil unrest during the 1970's. Thanks for posting bro'.

@monabang Yes, this is John Stockwell. He was in charge of the Angola Task Force. The Jamaican operation happened after he left the CIA.
