Great vid helped me alot and loved your slide show

i know bump map makes the texture seems more realistic. but when finding a texture, does it have to be in a good quality?
-
@imsiddhartha Thanks!!!.

@CommunistSpyware you have to turn on high quality rendering and textured button... these two buttons will be above the work space and are very small buttons. the textured button will look like a sphere with black and white boxes on it!! you will find high quality rendering button in the same line.. :)

@Pitchaman either way, his much talented then you are by far in video making, sooo....yup.

There is a way to see textures directly in the meshes without rendering?. Sorry if this is a stupid question but i am totally noob :D.

One question though:
Does the bumb create a mesh or something?

hey jayblaze, i am not sure exactly, try messing with the 'place 2dtexture' node settings. i will do this in a cinema 4d tutorial and you may be able to translate it over to maya. i would help yu more but autodesk did not let me change my maya license over to mac.
hope this helps
