Ginseng has a major breakthrough and proves once again that is wrong to stereotype cats. She's being "homeschooled" by another one of those cat-loving engineers, Peter http://network.bestfriends.org/nyecounty/news/30330.html
She was one of the 800+ cats rescued in the summer 2007 from a facility (F.L.O.C.K.) that had deteriorated into an institutional hoarding situation in Pahrump, Nevada. Ginseng was one of the very frightened, striking out of fear, offering to bite, and supposedly a "feral" cat. She was a student at Miss Sherry's Finishing School for Felines and now is being "homeschooled" by one of the volunteers of the Great Kitty Rescue. She started out in school in small safe cage and now has graduated to a man-sized enclosure but still returns to her safe place, especially now because it puts her in the right position to get lots and lots of pets. Can adult cats change their mind, change their behavior? In the words of our president-elect, Yes we can!

Oh what a lovely cat! I'm so glad you've helped her. I volunteer for Rescue Village in Ohio, and I've seen how cats can change from frightened to loving. Bless your sweet furbabies!
