Lonely Planet wanted a demonstration of how Microsoft Surface tables could be used in their stores to create engaging experiences that extend outside the retail environment.
The application allows users to place a Lonely Planet destination guide on the table to see selected content such as images, text and maps.
The content chunks can be saved to a passport card placed on the table by the user. The saved content can be retrieved later via a publicly accessible website.
