  • Just watched all episodes on Netflix....The most riviting show.....so glad there were so many episodes....I didn't like the ending...very sad and kinda of lame.....but the whole series was awesome.

  • oh James... your hair looks so good short! why not just keep it that way?

  • @tdpatriots12 I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment, but must quibble with the wording of your premise. Every human endeavour has some predecessor, some discernible, or at least arguable, source, but "derivative" makes the product sound like a pale imitation, and, whilst it may in fact only occur occasionally, the later version can surpass the original.

  • "Dude... you never want to $^@% with a Browncoat man. 'Cause if you think you have a massive rabid fan base these cats celebrate a show that's not even on anymore"

Damn straight! Did you hear all those Browncoats? That's awesome.

  • Oh my gosh, so many Browncoats in the audience! That whole Firefly discussion made me squee like a fangirl. Amazing.

  • bugger Disney. James Callis rocks. So does Nathan Fillion.

  • Yeah, Browncoats think their show started everything. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan, but B5 did a bunch of that shakycam-in-space stuff, daylight shots of spacecraft, etc. There's an anime with a similar premise, etc. It's not anything against the show, just some people have a hard time accepting that plenty of good art is derivative of something.

  • A little trivia for you non-browncoats: In the scene that James Callis is describing where there are spaceships flying over Mary McDonnell's head, the ship Serenity from Firefly has a brief "cameo" in the sky. Zoic Studios did the FX for both shows, and Ron Moore specifically asked that the look of Firefly carry over to BSG. That's what the fans in the audience were yelling about, I think.
