Donkey Kong Country 2 - Bayou Boogie Remix

This is a remix of the DKC2 'Bayou Boogie' Theme composed by David Wise.

The main focus of this remix was to create an interesting/relaxing soundscape where the melody and counter-melodies were interwoven throughout the mix.

Ah, an absolutely superb remix. I love how it slowly builds emotion and increases in volume but still retains its overall calm beauty.

Good luck submitting to OCRemix! The name 'Reeds & Strings' comes to mind, as the acoustic arrangement is done entirely with stringed instruments, but whenever I think of swamps I think of those cattail reeds.

@OparioMcgee Yeah, I'm glad you enjoyed the progressive nature of this mix, it was something I tried to convey =D I also really like your name, it's really smart actually since it really does give you the idea of the swamp, but also relates to the instruments in the remix, guess there were a lot of stringed instruments there!

Very nice relaxing remix. My favorite part is when the violin starts playing the chorus. The DKC2 soundtrack is really incredible.

wow i love this! i loved the game and the soundtrack, and what you did with it, it feels like straight from one of those exclusive chillout complilation cds if that makes any sense heh. good luck with ocr, and i would agree, opario's title sounds great.

@Arrow9100kj THanks Arrow for the comment, from K4 I used piano,strings, harp, marimba, various percussion, electric guitar (for some backing). A lot these were either layered and modified =D
