Born the son of a Mississipi sharecropper, Ben Prestage has Blues in his blood. His great-grandmother was a vaudeville musician who toured with Al Jolson. His grand mother was a boogie pianist. The result - a musical prodigy that combines traditional Blues stylings with his own home brewed style of Southern-swamp-funk that gets audiences out of their seats from young to old. Ben plays nightly all across the South, one night Ben is playing at a coffee shop in Carolina, the next at a beach bar in the Florida Keys. In this journey, we follow Prestage to Hunstville, Alabama during the Cigar Box Blues Extravaganza where Ben introduces "his band" and amasses a varied following all along the way.

  • When you come to Australia be sure to Play at Renmark SA in the River Land you can all crash at my pad in Berri near by. I got plenty of rooms their.

A good tour would be to start in NSW Byron Bay Blues fest % day event then go to Threadbow Blues fest ( 3 day event following Byron bays event).

The Renmark SA, Then Margret River Western Australia, Up Northen territory there is the Darwin River but im not sure about venuse at that time.

John Butler or Xavier Rudd may help with info

  • I wanna see him down here in Australia, I love the live recordings The studio recorded albums are shit. The noise of the crowd show what Bens all about.

Theres nothing wrong with hearing people have a good time in the back ground.

The guy that dose the live footage and recordings Dose the job perfect. His work is way better than any studio could do for Ben.

You need to promote in Australia, I only can across Ben Pestage By Random search.

  • seen him 6 times. number 7 comin up Nov. 5th

  • If you ever get the chance to see him play, do NOT miss it. A truly unique and outstanding musician that runs circles around other bands with one leg tied behind his back...Can't wait to see him at Hucapoo's again!
