They're two completely different things. Guitar is a musical instrument and Guitar Hero is a game. Believe it or not it's possible to play and enjoy both.
On topic, the guy did a good job concealing himself there. I don't play with my guitar down quite that low so I'd have some problems if I pulled a stunt like that.

They have Guitar Hero contests the same reason they have things like TWL and CAL; it's a game, you fuckwit. Nobody plays GH because they want to be a guitarist, they play because they enjoy it.
