Hitler gets screwed by Verizon Customer Service

This is for anyone who's ever been caught up in Verizon's customer-no-service hell... Hitler hates Verizon after buying a Droid X but deciding to return it after only two weeks. He later finds out the contract was never cancelled even though he no longer has the new phone. He cannot purchase another phone at contract price. Customer service repeatedly promises they have fixed the mistake on his account, but after four months of false promises he is informed he is still under contract! A trip to the local corporate owned store reveals they will not assist in any way since the phone was purchased directly through 611.

This is exactly what happened to me. The only way I was able to resolve the issue was by going to Best Buy. They were much nicer to deal with and got the false contract cancelled where I couldn't.
