@predara303: May be not the first film for VyMala. She had already acted in a few Tamil films. This was a remake of the Tamil hit Penn. The other Tamil hit of early 1950's was Vaazhkai (Jeevitam in Telugu).
The music composers of this film are the grate duo. of R.SUDARSAN and R.GOVARDHAN(Tamilians) a boon of music directors to Tolleywood in those olden days. They attributed a very grate music in AVMs Bhukylas, each and every song is a high light, for example the title music itself is composed on pure mohana Raga a very super melody background music composed by these grate artists only. such a grate music we will never here again, those days wont comback. Thanks to them
@Voltairec Not R. Balasarasawthi.. shussheela and TS. Bhagavathy.. at the time of this movie susheela was singing for AM as permanent singer.. and TS Bhagavathy is one of that singer i guess as she sung many of AVM movies only
@praneeth12394 I thought some reliable sources attributed it to RB but I stand corrected. The rhythm is absolutely enchanting so much so that we want to tap our legs in gratitude....Vyjayanthimala exudes beauty and very understated sensuality that is bewitching....no wonder she was the first of South Indian actresses to rule the roost in Hindi....I saw Naya Daur recently and was amazed how she even outscores Dilip saab!
for a long time I only know of Hindi version of this song "man mor machave shor". I really love this one. This has far peppier beat and love the poetry. And yes, both the singers are amazing. I am always huge fan of Susheela, her enunciation and the way she breathes meaning into simple words. I miss her singing!
Vow!! PS & TSB (Bhagavathy) . The Tamil version is rendered by MSR (Rajeswari) & TSB. All of them were AVM artistes at that time.
