Hi, the gloves are Amateur Shooto/MMA -gloves, wich leave the palm uncovered, and they have a decent amount of padding on top of the knucles, so you can spar with them safely.

Oh, yes. Don't try to resist, when someone pulls you down, just go and block the knee with your arms and attack aggressively to the groin. With grab'n twist -motion, for exampl :)
