From http://www.witness.org | WITNESS is a human rights organization that uses video to open the eyes of the world to human rights violations.

We created this toolkit to help you to use video more effectively in human rights and advocacy work. It's designed for human rights activists and advocates, filmmakers, journalists and citizen journalists around the world.

"Before Filming" helps you prepare yourself and the people you're working with to:

- identify the goal of your video
- link your video to action
- understand consent

The other parts of the toolkit cover what to do when you are filming, and how to use your film or footage after you've shot it.

For more video related to human rights, visit us at http://www.witness.org, and join the community at the Hub: http://hub.witness.org.

If you'd like to translate this video into your language, please send us a message...

  • how could there is a Google Checkout - Donate Button?

  • @mhaidarhanif not sure what the question is? we have a donate because we have been accepted as a nonprofit partner.

  • how is this video made? wich soft I should use to do something similar? thx

  • @tronne Illustrations were created first. You can use any numbers of vector software out there like illustrator or inkscape. Then a motion graphics software is used to animate the illustrations, this could be FCP's motion or After Effects or Blender (or any other motion graphics packages). Finally, using a video editing software to bring it all together with the audio and music. Hope that helps.
