  • Natural bristle brushes are used for oil based paints and stains. For any water/latex based stains(which is more common) and finishes(like polyurethane) you should use a synthetic bristle.

The brush does make a difference.

  • Thank you for he tips. However, i would really like to know when to use paint thinner, what kind and how much? Thank you!

  • do you recommend Polyacrylic or polyurethane? Any do you us gloss or satin for it?
