Most people think that Government is a "Father" figure. They're there to protect their children (citizens). What a joke!
The fact of the matter is, Governments are nothing more petty thieves and robbers. They made their theft legal because they can enact laws which made those actions are legal.

"You Can't Eat Gold", that's been one of the Stupidest things posted on the internet.
Do the people who have prepared, have gardens? chickens? eggs? high in demand items?, land?
What do you trade with someone who's needs nothing? I'd bet they'd take Gold or Silver.
On the other hand, if everyone knows you have Gold/Silver, paint a target on your back.
Then again, maybe they'll just steal your FOOD, cause "YOU CANT EAT GOLD!"

the average common man is screwed, so buy guns, gold, silver, keep cash at home in a safe, and stock up on water and canned goods, but a gas mask too. protect your wife and kids. there is no more faith in this nation. we have a country of crooks and animals, illegal aliens mexicans, criminal federal bank, corrupt politicians, and an avatar president. this is a huge police state now just try to get on a plane. this is not the america of my youth.

8. Metals... Don't depend on that PAPER STUFF! I've got metals and food reserves.
9. Yep. Got that, and thinking about more since the recent shootings. Gun control legislation may be in the future.
10. I have a problem with this too. My good friends are miles away, and I don't trust many people. It would be good to find someone who needs a place to live and have them work for food/housing at my place, but I sure wouldn't trust a stranger!

5. Very little money in the bank. Cash reserve stash at home + junk silver coins. Precious metals for savings.

Agree. A government is not big brother but big tyrant. Big brother is the one who protects you and helps you so I think this linguistics is worst than misnomer. Big brother is a family word not a govern-mental or beast-ness corporate. Orwell made this doublespeak. Government is actually big tyrant not big brother or sister.==tbc==....

I wonder wouldn't be wiser to save your money and invest in food, protection and things that you need to survive a crisis instead of paying off your debt? Like credit card debt and mortgages, if your mortgage is more than your home is worth of course. What good is a 700 credit score while you and yours are starving?
