    The standard aviation/CAA advice is aircraft should have at least ten nautical miles horizontal seperation from a CB... i.e about 18.5 km.

    Note: Chatting to Tim (ATC) one day I asked him what the max gust recorded at Dundee (EGPN), with a CB 10nm away, was.... the answer was 90kts!
