Animal crossing Coelacanth catching

Me playing on animal crossing gamecube. I just have it since 2 days..and tonight it was raining so i thought.. see of i can catch the Coelacanth and this is what happened..

Is this a glitch or something or are they just easy too catch? Because on Animal crossing Wild world (what i played alot) i had only 2 of them..

( I have seen 20 of them tonight, but i missed 4 of them..:( )
Later that night i catched some more..

Comments like YOU'RE A HACKER!!! will be ignored, cause when you say that you've never played animal crossing for the gamecube..Because if you DID you will know that Coelacanths are much easier to catch then in the other animal crossing games..

In my house i have 1 Coelacanth, 1 Blue Marlin, 1 Hammerhead Shark, 1 Napoleonfish, 1 Arapaima, 1 Rainbow Stag, 1 Goliath Beetle, 1 Cyclomantus and 1 Atlas Beetle.

I caught 3 on the same day, NO LIE. It started when one of my neighbors said a certain rare fish only comes out when its raining and I was like "ITS RAINING FTW" So I caught one, Donated it, caught another, put it in my house, caught another put it in my house. During the process I lost 3.. Scared away ): Oh! And coelacanths wont show up if you already have one in your pocket!

@ilikemilk18 find a rainy day after 4 pm. Go to the ocean, and look at the shadow of the fish. If it isn't huge, run to scare it away and go to the next acre over. Look at that one, and if it's not huge, scare it away, and return to the previous acre. Repeat this tactic (I like to call it "Scare Fishing") and you'll end up with a lot of them.
