Dad Brings Daughter to Camp for the Fourth Year

Camper Julia Kirkpatrick loves Camp Seale Harris so much she is returning this session for her fourth year. I caught up with Julia and her dad while they were moving her stuff in and they are both excited about Julia going to camp this year.

Julia's first experience with Camp Seale Harris was at family camp. The diabetic counselor at Julia's hospital told her family about Camp Seale Harris family camp and her dad said it is just what they needed. They had a blast and Julia has been coming as a camper since second grade.

Julia is now 11 and her favorite part of Camp Seale Harris is horseback riding. She also enjoys the fact that she can be around other children with diabetes. There is no one Julia's age at home with diabetes so she says being at camp "doesn't make me feel as different as I do in real life."
