Mexicana airlines flight 802 Overshoots Runway At O'Hare part 1

July 18,2008 One person was hospitalized after a Mexicana Airlines flight with 142 passengers on board overshot a runway upon landing Friday night at O'Hare International Airport. Mexicana Flight 802 overshot the runway about 7 p.m., according to Dept. of Aviation spokeswoman Karen Pride, who said an arrester bed at the end of the runway prevented the plane from going any further. Pride said 142 passengers were on board. One person was taken to Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center in "stable" condition, according to Fire Media Affairs spokesman Richard Rosado. The person was a member of the crew and suffered non-life-threatening injuries, including bumps and bruises, according to Rosado. All passengers were unloaded through the rear exit of the plane via a fire department truck with a ladder specially built to unload airplane passengers, Rosado said. Passengers were escorted from the runway to buses and were taken to the terminal to catch connecting flights, Rosado said. Rosado said 141 passengers refused treatment and were treated and released. The plane, an Airbus Industrie A320, originated from Juarez International Airport in Mexico City, according to a flight tracker Web site. The FAA is investigating.

wow i know i was traveling on Mexicana flight 803 from chicago ORD to Mexico city Mex and the flight was horrible no ac no so great food so it was warm fligh. oh! and i had a bloody nose!!! so i know how u feel!
