The second frog hops away and there is a flood of so many emotions, thoughts, ideas and wounded feelings of betrayal. It's SO hard to say good-bye that it seems easier to not want to be friends with that mean old frog. Jiminy! How unreasonable is it for a 2½ year old to ask to hold two frogs at the same time?!? That's only one for each hand!
And then...
The tantrum is done. Time to play.

Since that day, we have found many more frogs of varying shapes, textures, colors and sizes. Cooper still has yet to hold two frogs at once, but it doesn't seem as important as being able to hold on to a frog on a whim (and how cool is it to be able to bring a fat bumpy froggy into the bathroom with you?).

  • Don't teach a kid lies about frogs! They don't have to feed their babies, they don't have emotions. How is this good parenting? It is lies and manipulation. If you want your kid to leave the frog alone, you say, "Honey, please leave the frog alone." or "just look, don't touch." You can teach your child REAL facts about nature, or fill them with pathetic stories that over-emotionalize everything in life, and turn your kid into a wuss.

  • @amybee40 Bitter much? He may speak better than some 5-year olds, but seriously, the kid is really only 2. No, frogs don’t have to feed their babies. However, a frog is an animal & other animals DO feed their young. This wasn’t about teaching a kid “facts”. It was about the treatment of animals and the issues surrounding separation. He had touched & played with the frog enough already by this time. It was time to move on. (This was a video response to him playing with the frogs.)

  • he looks like a fat chuck norris haha

  • @BoxerRC Hmmm. Perhaps.

  • Good, at least someone's telling a kid that he cannot have everything he wants..

  • @karminou I tend to agree. I have absolutely no patience for the impatience and the demanded instant gratification that seems to be perpetuated nowadays. There are certain pleasures that can only be attained for doing a job well from start to finish that people seem to have lost sight of. The whole “I want it all and I want it now” coupled with an “I don’t want to work for it” will surely be the demise, on several fronts, of our society. I hope to teach & give my kid the gift of patience.

  • You have some odd comments to this video, anyways, the video is cute and my son is 2 right now, I can totally see him acting this way real soon lol.

  • dad to kid "he gotta feed his babies, you have to let him go"

kid to dad "does chicken ,cow, goat produce babies,if they do than why do we eat them"

  • HOLY FRICTION!!! Amybee must not be a jeans and a t-shirt kind of gal ;o) Miss you guys!! We ever gonna see you again? The ducks are all grown up and wandering the park now!

  • @amybee40 Oh, and t"track down" is a bit of an overstatement. I clicked on your name and read the comments in your profile page. Not too much detective work there. But I suppose it's hard for the un-evolved to understand the mechanics of something as complex as Youtube. Speaking of which, I have never met a creationist who even understood evolution, so there is no real discussion. Easy to understand the fairytale man in the sky made us out of dust and dirt and ribs...science is a bt tougher...HA

  • @amybee40 More like...I looked at the video and it was sweet, joyful, overall goodness. And you shit on it. So I wondered if you shit on EVERYTHING, and it seems, well, You DO...I haven't seen one positive, kind or uplifting comment from you, only sour, critical, meanness...How very Christian of you. I'm sure Christ would be very proud to count you as a supporter. And to me, the waste of time is attacking light-hearted videos with harsh comments and rudeness. Takes all kinds I suppose.

  • I herd u get magik powerz if u lick it

  • @CooperSuperTrooper

To be honest, yes, I have issues with people in my family who parent this way. So I may have over-reacted. But I don't think there's any age when people should be more about fiction than reality, and I also don't think that "wuss" and "bully" are the only choices in how we turn out. Surely there is a happy middle ground.

  • @23Figment

Not how I would phrase it but yes. Evolution is the fairytale. But It's cute how you're tracking down all my posts and bringing up irrelevant issues. I guess you enjoy wasting time.

  • @CooperSuperTrooper.... that said: Now I'm pretty convinced that some humans have none.. I hope your wonderful video makes waves, the world needs it, that's the kindness lesson kids should learn...I'm an animal rescuer, I've been doing that for decades and cruelty comes from somewhere...with people like you and your magnificent son I have hope now!!! Thank you Sir...
