Here are a few clips form the hour or so I was out and about this afternoon. Whilst sat there, waiting for the rain to stop, a new visitor for me, flew past. After the rain stopped, I managed to locate it and film it. It was a Lapwing. First time I have seen one this year ;)

wonderful video my friend, I wonder why they named this bird as lapwing?, I don't see any relation between its wing and a laptop ;-)

LOL Najib, Sad thing is, They have declined in Europe since the 1960's, largely as a result of more intensive agricultural practices. In particular, drainage and the use of pesticides both reduce prey availability. Mankind is killing what it says it is trying to save.

Phil this has just become one of my fav vids! Butterflies were so beautiful - color so vibrant...

It was while watching one of your vids that my computer got cranky & then just died...I thought it was this one - but now I think it was the one before it (10 min one)

Lovely! Really nice butterfly shots, too! Was that the lapwing walking around in the mud? I also liked the one with the two 'spikes' on it's head.

Amazing that they dont mind each other as they feast on the flower. I have not sen a Lapwinig here before,was my first one ;)
