  • @amtraksonicfan171 I respect your preference, but these cars just don't meet my criteria. In fact, I really miss the Comet IIIs as they were pulled from service for the MLVs a few months back.

  • hey!!! Comet IIM happen to be my fav comet....they may have some problems but their not awful

  • I had the same question b/c usually on holidays and weekends, NJT used MLVs only.

  • Not all Comet IIM's are as bad as this one, but they seem to more frequently have flat wheels. This car looks like # 5387, a lot of the later 53XX II<'s have flatter wheels, I had that on car 5371 on the RVL. Why was NJT running so many Comets when they usually use ML's?
