I thought he might like the giant golf ball look... no, giant soccer ball..., no, i know, paint it orange. Who wouldn't want to live in a giant jack-o-lantern?
The only bright idea I have would be to add to Jaimies, Maybe fit some ply on top then marine style shrink wrap, it's really cool stuff, and will actually shrink around to tightly contour to your sphere (it would look like a giant golf ball:) anyway, it would be water tight forsure, they use it to keep boats dry during winter months, it's also easy to repair, you could easily add insulation to the interior for a really clean look - just an idea.
The protection that plywood can offer can't be beat, the last thing anybody wants is a hole in their dwelling during a storm. The insulation you have in mind sounds practical, light, easy to cary and easy to fit. Herculiner is strong and durable and rolls on easy. Plus, if you don't like black it takes paint well
Thanks for watching. I have been helping Jaimie with his banana building rather than finishing my sphere since it's been really freezing up in Vermont lately. I have some cold weather footage that I guess I should post. I am going through your videos and enjoying them!
LOL... That's hilarious, paint it yellowy orange and name the video "Jaimie & the Giant Peach"

He already insists on calling it "the banana ball" so my guess would be yellow (rolls eyes).

Jaimie would probably love the flame aspect, LOL. I'll have to look into this, thanks!

How do you get it to shrink? Do you need some giant heat gun thingie?
