  • where did you get the engine done? I have a 87 Grand National and would like something like this done to my engine.

  • @turbonetic777 done everything except the machine work myself ... local shop for zinc plating, another place I use for all the powder coating, ceramic coating of headers etc done in Dallas TX ... oh and machine shop in Uxbridge - United Kingdom .... if you have a machine shop do the necissary machining it's just a matter of detailing work you can do yourself.

  • What did that nice piece of iron set you back?

  • @NJW1973 Way too much ... lots of new parts ... machine work ... ARP bolts/studs .... powdercoating of parts and ceramic coating of headers, downpipe etc ... not added it all up but easy $5k USD ...

  • Are those the stock headers , just coated? ---

  • @alwayscode390 Yep, ceramic coated along with the DP, crossover and turbo elbow

  • thnx for the info. Sounds like alot, but the finish is out of this world....your engine looks great. :)

  • Yep that was my goal from day 1 ... just improving on the stock look, make it last (hopefully) and build strong internals for futrue upgrades (still got a stock turbo on this one at the moment ... will stay that way until I got 1000 or so miles on it). Appreciate the comments, glad my work payed off in the end been a long journey.
