Aug 19, 2008 Tropical storm Fay washed the Lady Cecile up on Vilano Beach north of St. Augustine Florida. The man was sailing form Montreal to Cuba to start a travel agency. The guy was ok, sailboat not ok. PS he cashed in his 401K to pay for the 100 year old boat (no insurance)

  • A shame to see a fine little sail boat wrecked.

  • no he restored her. spent 8 yrs on her.

  • Mother Nature ! Watch poor -Blue Sea shipwreck click on .

  • after the great front page follow ullp story, the tv crew showed up and he was on 6pm news! we had a small benefit at Millhouse Tavern, Lonesome Burt & the Skinny Lizzards playing. small boat jobs lining up. he is holding up well. i admire Gill for his positive attitude. he is, of course, grieving, but looking forward and moving on, one baby step at a time. the "Shipwreck Fund" has been set up at Prosperity Bank.thank you for caring and reading this.

  • I saw this on the news. I didn't know the story tho. That stinks...no insurance. I know he said that he built his boat from scratch. Yikes. Poor guy.
