ok we can all agree the fish should have a bigger tank and maybe gold fish aren't the best food. Damn, give the guy a break he abviously is doing something right for the fish to be alive so long. I mean... where's youre 43/44 year old fish?

i got 2 goldfish at a local pet shop at no bigger than a penny. This is when i was 12. Came home to visit mom and still alive! I am going on 25 years in June, ya good gold fish and they are huge. you do the math.

@GraveDigger580 Or maybe this fish is just extra hardy. Our centenarians have often smoked and have not carried out a life of extremely health conscious decisions. Don't be stupid. If his care was responsible I suppose it should be easy for anyone else to emulate this success.

@mudslingerford Disagree with that logic, strongly. I disagree that just keeping a fish alive for X amount of years qualifies as 'something right'. I could starve a dog almost to death and keep it in that condition for years. By your logic that would qualify as 'something right' because for the dog, like the fish, it's alive.
