Love this story, Tarrin! At home, unlicensed businesses have got to stick together in this over regulated, nanny state. You shouldn't need a permission slip to do something you love, and, more importantly, others love!

I wish the biscuit makers the best of luck. As a free person I don't want the government deciding for me where or what I eat. I don't need the government charging fees and "inspecting" entrepreneurs to determine if their good enough to serve me a sandwich. I think I'm perfectly capable of deciding if I want to eat the sandwich myself.

do any of you people even know this person? because if you don't, your accusations are pure speculation, and that makes you retarded.

@Tabooga65 Big govt is too invasive but not unreasonable? I'm seeing a disconnect here.
The reason for not getting a business license is not just to avoid the fee, but that the license brings with it all manner of very expensive rules and regulations that are designed to kill small businesses like the Last Biscuit before they can threaten established businesses big enough to kick big checks over to election campaigns.

Yeah, I agree with alot of what you say. Big govt is too invassive and growing. However, It isn't unreasonable to require a permit/busines lic.

Hi. Good vid.
Stand as one of the People (a free and sovereign man on the land) with your unalienable rights at common law.
Check out Robert Arthur Menard's seminars; "Bursting Bubbles of Government Deception" and "The Magnificent Deception".
Check out Bill Thornton's audio seminars and material on: 1215 org
Their positive "Laws" of Society and by consent by standing in the created role and office of "citizen" instead of standing free as one of the People.
Stand free and sovereign!

Belle, in all respect I understand your point, why not such pay the $200 and avoid all headache. Just because something is put on a piece a paper and called a law does not mean you should follow it. Bad and immoral laws should not be followed. I think they are brave and I hope they encourage other businesses to follow their lead. If enough business ignored this these regulations would go away.
I am not following you what 3rd party are you talking about? Let me know and I will interview

This is such a great story. Awesome job covering!
Thanks so much for covering these awesome stories, Tarrin!
It's a real inspiration to see someone operating a peaceful, responsible "underground" business and getting away with it, especially when they ultimately benefit their communities.
I never knew Paula Deen (one of my favorite TV chefs) started out as a black marketeer!
