So "What is this?" Night of Nights (ナイト・オブ・ナイツ) is a "remix" of a song from a series of videogames from Japan called Touhou. However it's also a fad of fan made hyper edited videos edied to go along with the song. The fad started in 2008 and peaked early 2009, but people still make them today, as you can see. This video is an attempt at a MAD (a home-grown video fad that is as Japanese as sushi). I'm definately a fan of their culture, pop culture, food, music, games, and definately their animation. With that in mind, I'd like to ask anyone reading as far down as this to please contribute however they can to relief for Japan in this terrible time for them. My heart goes out to them.

@ScientificNoodles Yeah that's the problem, it's so big and spread out~ for someone who knows little about it, how are we supposed to? The games aren't always appealing and most of the 'content' of your fandom isn't even associated to a particular show or manga, so it's impossible to follow or understand. Not to mention with the elitism you show, it makes it very unappealing outside of fap material.

You're referring to Touhou? There are wikipages for the Touhou games. I originally played the games so im technically not a 'casual' but i mainly like the remixes, music and vids myself lol

@strikerk And there's no central "hub" because the games are the source material, like the FiM episodes are to the fan clips/vids. A lot of Touhoufans started out just watching some kind of Touhou fan derivative or another for a loooooong time before they even get to the games. But to each their own. I just think MLP and Touhou have what I like, plus Touhou also has the epic amount of musical work associated w/ it. Just the music alone is worth the fanaticism.

@strikerk Nah, I didn't mean for it to come off as elitism. Besides, everyone's lost at the beginning, especially since it's mostly in Japanese. The fandom is no different from any other fandom, MLP or otherwise. And what fap material? o_O That's the exact same ignorance that most pony/brony haters have, because they think we're all cloppers? That's very silly if you ask me.

But like I said, Touhou bascially is nothing like MLP, except for its cutenes and huge fandom, so it might not work.
