First I Jelly Roll Morton Covering his own composition, "Mister Jelly Lord" on piano. Then him and his Red Hot Peppers and some singer. I'm afraid the 2nd cover is incomplete.

  • The first recording is by Morton's trio from June 10, 1927 with Morton on piano, Johnny Dodds, clarinet and Baby Dodds, drums. The 2nd recording is by the Levee Serenaders. Morton's name is not listed on the original Vocalion 78 but it is his band. This is from january 21, 1928 and the singer is Frances Hereford.
