Back into the 1970's with this one from an ole Mississippi boy named Harold Jenkins. We all know him as Conway Twitty. You could come up with many different names, just by looking a a road map. It was penned by Harlen Howard. This tune was also out by Barbara Mandrell.

  • Nice song!

Just like the "original" by Ray Price- i wish i could fall in love today was

    Take any song

Add a fiddleplayer at steel guitar

Instantly the song turns more awesome :D

  • Gotta love those 4/4 country shuffles -- love 'em!!! Pedal steel on this is pure perfection. Great fiddle, too. I believe I'll fall in love today . . . with this song!

  • @tampagr Yeah, the Warren Smith version is just pure 100% country honky-tonk dyn-o-mite, love it!!!!

  • barbara mandrell does a nice version ofthis song.

  • VERY NICE. Thanks.

  • This song by Warren Smith got a lot of air time while I was working in Texas in 1961. One of my favorite songs at the time. Still love it today.

  • love anything conway sang... i saw him in concert every year from 79 til a few years b4 he left us....... my fave alwayss

  • Love this song I have it ,love you Conway never get tired of listening to him.Tks

  • I have to play this song pretty often. It's wonderful by Conway. It's been recorded by so many artists I've found. A young cousin of mine never liked country music of any kind till she met Conway at a show in Cincinnati sometime I believe in the early 80's. She fell in love with him and his music. Now if my hero Gene Watson had a recording of this my life would be complete. LOL. Thank you again for posting this. - Paula

  • Have this one by Bobby Bare, from around

1962.Bare did it more pop than country.

Nice song.Used to love Conway's take on

"Danny Boy"-mom hated it,lol! She was Irish.Think it was from 1959.
