Presenting the first German Team participating in the Google Lunar X PRIZE

Speakers:
Arne Reiners
Juergen Brandner
Michael Mussler
Robert Boehme

We want to use the opportunity the 26C3 presents as a venue to introduce our team. The Part-Time-Scientists are the first German team participating in the Google Lunar X PRIZE. Our presentation would kick off with a quick explanation of what the X PRIZE is, the challenges and gains.

The main part of the presentation will then focus on our progress. That includes a showcase of some hard- and software we're using. Additionally pictures and videos specifically created for the 26C3. And a brief overview of the Google Lunar X Prize and it's overall progress.

  • @ihjmobile Thank you! We appreciate people supporting us.

  • Very good work. My big support for you guys. So many components and details to think off to make it work. You guys are serious about pushing it forward. It might be the first European rover to drive on the moon.

  • @Vlakpage Well, with the receiver network you're referencing the COMRAY Project, I guess. COMRAY is no longer a mission critical Project for several reasons. But some of our PTS members are still working on it as a side project.

There's also a video from the 27c3, one year later. And a lot has changed.

  • @PartTimeScientists Yes, I did. Actually I had time to listen and mostly watch it at work while testing our boards :) I wonder what is the actual state of the receiver network.

I know about PTS only for few months. The overall impression from this talk is very good and now I'm confident you can make it :)

  • @Vlakpage Did you listen the whole presentation?

  • Very interesting
