Amen !
:-)

  • I first saw paul moen on the youtube video lionel hampton 1968 moments notice...I loved his solo so much, I would play it over and over again, until I had it memorized....but now that video is removed from youtube :(

Awesome tribute to an awesome player!

  • He also played in a small Buddy Rich/Lionel Hampton band in 1978. The CD was under two different titles: "Lionel Hampton Presents Buddy Rich" and "The Sound of Jazz" - Featuring three tenors: Steve Marcus, Paul Moen and Gary Pribeck. They play "Moments Notice" and "Giant Steps" among others.

  • oh you're so right! The greyed out video clips of moen playing in this tribute are from the moment's notice solo. Do you have that video?

  • PM = thank you for the challenge.

    Inspiration and interest never ending.
