Im such a huge fan of your page! I was thinking, is there any way you could do a mad scientist hairstyle? Like, maybe Dr. Strangelove? I think it could be possible using waves :)

Please excuse my typos... LOL!

Thanks so much for replying to my post :)
I don't dress in reto style but I do do my hair that way. I was a stylist for 12yrs and learned a ton from the older stylists and there older clients. Its so much fun and I get so many complements!! My hair is sholder length, layered and solid bleach blonde. So with that being said I tend to do a lot of Marilyn styles. But I do love a fingerwave!! I do them for parties :) Very, Very pretty and stylish look!

ooh I tried to like this but I wasn't able to :/ like it though, trying on my friend tomorrow as she just got short hair..yay!
lovely as always!
but may I suggest something? your background painting always distracts from your pretty hair, I think a neutral background would highlight your hairstyles better (e.g. black would make your red hair look divine I think)

@19myself91 I used to use a neutral background but this painting is by my Grandfather and I love featuring it in my videos. It's an 'homage' thing. If I were making these videos professionally, I might be concerned about the distraction but since these are kind of my personal teaching project, it will continue to be my background. :) Hope you understand...

If you put your waves closer together when they are wet you will have a better wave pattern in the finnished style :)

@aprilck2 yes I agree. I noticed that the waves in the photo seemed more 'spaced' than most period films so this was just a shot in the dark. The bottom wave should have been placed closer to the second one so as to be more defined though for sure...

i have seen photos of finger waves that go all 'round the head and i would love to see you try your own version of that. i've always wondered how they lay the waves all the way around. perhaps you'd need to do it on someone else's head though.

@loanaea Yes that is a goal of mine...to master that type of wave. But alas, I may need to buy a doll head. I would need just the right hair cut on my model etc. :)
