  • FDR - dollar was still valued on Gold

Now - dollar created out of thin air

  • @rasyad22 On April 5, 1933, FDR criminalized the possession of monetary gold by any individual, partnership, association or corporation. It would be 4 decades before Americans regained this freedom.

  • FDR ordered crops to be burnt while people were starving. Attacked every business for not price fixing. Anyone who lowered their prices got taken to court. He reduced immigration of Europeans by over 90% when they were essential for the workforce. He put tariffs blocking trade which always enriches countries. He paid huge amounts to giant industrial farmers at the expense of the small farmers. He intervened in almost every business transaction and investment. He sucked the private sector dry.

  • FDR the greatest hero of American Communism. It is crazy that the worst period in American History was the time of the biggest government intervention in American History and because it was so bad the Free Market gets the blame. FDR hated business and wanted to destroy it at every turn so the power of control would be turned over to the State. He hated the constitution and said it was a document created in times of Horse Buggies and didn't need to be upheld only weeks after swearing to uphold it

  • wait they used to have to memorize the oath of office? say it aint so.

  • @LibertyPen I loveyour channel, butyou idolize the statist MiltonFriedman toomuch. Friedman's libertarianbooks (capitalism and freedom, free to choose) dealtonly withgeneral political philosophy.Theydidnot address specificissues like welfare, stimuluspackages, and the federalreserve.Friedman's hardeconomics books (monetary history of america) were anti-gold, pro-federal reserve, and pro-bailout. If youwant to reada libertarian economistwho's brilliant on philospohy and economics try sowelandrothba

  • @nagasnharpes you can't print gold. Inflation robs from the poor and gives to the rich. Stopping printing of money, thus inflation, would help the poor out.

  • We need to learn from them... trust less, America. Look at how they're talking about all of it just right out in the open. A president today, sadly, would never make statements like that, because they're all too concerned with political correctness or offending donors, etc. It's a part of our culture that is not really taught anymore. Do not trust without reason.

  • @rasyad22 It doesn't matter what backs the money, its who controls its quantity. Britain used sticks as money for hundreds of years at one point and prospered. "The sun never set on the British Empire". Please research history.

  • For crimes of that rat he should be hanged many times over... by the balls, like other fascist scum.

  • @rasyad22 on Gold which was only in FDR's coffers... because common people were banned from owning money. That's practically the same fascist crap...
