  • i want to fly a plane one day, how long would it take me to go and fly on my own, confidently, i dont fear much and am fairly capable at most stuff.

Just i dont want to waist my life and never do it, one experience that id love to happen...

  • @aidan21 Even though i have my private pilot license i dont feel 100% confident when i go flying because i know there is soooo much to learn so much to experience still. I would say if you blast through the training itll take a couple of months untill your ready to solo.

  • actually what I was telling you is meant to reduce the chance of flaring high. If your aircraft is slowed to it's stall speed in landing configuration and the horn is blowing you should only be a few inches off the ground...what I am saying to you is that if you count on the horn as a touchdown indicator you'll wind up sorry. just remember: the horn can sound at any altitude!

  • I dont use the horn to touchdown, its just the that i keep pulling back on the stick trying to stay as close to the runway as possible until she cant fly anymore. Youre a pilot im guessing?

  • hey just a tip: a bit of stall horn on touchdown is nice for a smooth landing...but DO NOT get in the cycle of trying to do it every time. If you lose your headwind component you can kiss your airspeed goodbye and break out the wallet for an undercarriage overhaul.

  • your scenario would require the flare to happen quite high, i never flare high

  • im better than this kid lol

  • Yes, I am a Multiengine Instrument pilot...you did a fabulous job keeping the nose on the centerline by the way

  • Nice landing . . . looked like a very proper and well-executed x-wind touchdown. Just a thought; looked like it was side-loaded a little, but nothing dangerous or out-of-limits. Good work!

  • yea I have flown a 152 once, i dont even think i would be able to tell the difference behind a camera lense. If you would like i got 2 other videos, 1 much windier than this on my first cross country solo and the other is a nice calm day.
