  • @elunico13 My NIV and My ESV has Acts 8:37 so I am not sure what you are talking about. It sounds like you are just going based on some KVJ only website comments... you are confusing "leaving out" with "informing the reader" that this verse is only included some manuscripts. Nothing wrong with knowing certain facts.

  • Where is Acts 8:37 in the ESV, NIV, NLT, HNL, VUL and mGNT? Those bibles literally go from v36 to v 38. WHY? Theres more than this!

  • This is an excellent series on this debate, thank you very much for sharing it with us.

  • I am not bound by one Translation, but God shows me with any version that HE still loves me! Hallelujah and Amen!

  • By the grace of God I was born again after reading, and believing, the words I read in a Berkley New Testament given to me by the Gideons. The Lord has also spoken to me, and blessed me with many wonderful revelations and insights reading the NIV, NASB and ESV... I like the language of the KJV but have never really been able to comfortably read it for long periods as I feel in my mind that I am translating the text into more modern language as I go.

  • Excellent! I am going to share with my KJV only friends.

  • Outstanding! I love the KJV and the NKJV (and abominate trash like the Message) but KJV onlyism cannot be validated.

  • @mark0454 Thank you. Unfortunately, due to the cultic mindset of the KJVOnlyists and their complete lack of education outside a half dozen pamphlet-style blurbs from (Riplinger, Hunt, Hovind & such) those who love the KJV as well as the other beautiful translations of God's Word into the english language are often put into the position to 'sound' as though they are attacking the KJV. Nothing can be more untrue. We love it ,but not to the exclusion of new & superior efforts
