http://www.reelseo.com/movie-slate-ap... ►Keep your media organized with Movie Slate, a top iPhone app for videographers. You can label your shot, take, director, cinematographer, and use it as a digital clapper board. This app also comes with a set of focus and color cards to help you check your camera's calibration as well. You can also take notes during a shot or after you complete it and even do it based on the timecode. It has the ability to log your camera settings on a per shot basis as well, making it easy to replicate your best shots. This app is great to get your hands on if you like staying organized while you're shooting and during post-production.

Perfect review, fast paced and informative. You definitely got me excited about the product, well done Stephen.
PS: Thanks for tuning down the music, it's *much* nicer that way. The video editing is real sharp too, it looks like a lot of work. Out of curiosity, how much time does it take to make one of these reviews from scratch and what's the rough breakdown time-wise (testing the product, scripting, recording, editing audio / video, rendering 20 times, etc.)?

I plan to use Movie Slate on my next short film. I use separate audio but normally I just clap to get a sink point for my 4 camera shoots. Your show is getting better with each episode. Keep it up.

Thanks! I didn't know about this before. Just launched a web series called "From the mind of a worshiper" on youtube. This will help for organization.

I mount the cameras on my airsoft gun and my head. I start recording on the cameras, clap three times and then go kick ass. When I am done I edit the footage as a multiclip in Final cut Pro. I add commentary through the Zoom H4n and bam I'm done.

Thanks! I'm looking forward to hearing about what you like best about Movie Slate. When you're doing your 4 camera shoots, is someone running all 4 cameras or do you turn them on and let them go? If you're doing it all yourself, I really think this app. will be especially useful for you.

Glad you liked it! Regarding the time it takes to complete all the tasks required- I can't really approximate because we're usually working on multiple projects at once and the vision for each video can vary... Testing products can take anywhere from a couple of hours to a couple of days while scripts can be turned around in as little as an hour.

Hey everyone- I'd love to get the conversation going here. Have you heard of Movie Slate? Is it something you use on all your shoots already? If not, do you think it's worth trying? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
