Wild dogs were hunting impala at Pete's Pond in Botswana. An impala made a desperate leap into the pond and swam across to escape the dogs. The dogs chased that (or another?) impala again and it went into the pond to escape, but this time swam directly into the jaws of Fatty, the resident juvenile Nile crocodile, and was swiftly drowned. The wild dogs departed to hunt elsewhere. Seen on National Geographic's WildCam Africa.
@09206239798 Perhaps that was the only way it had a chance of saving its life.
