wlwak you don't know what you're talking about.
A York did in fact conceive this as a classical jazz piece and that's why he also played it on a steel string guitar! The harmonies are those of jazz and York was one of the best composers for introducing jazz into the classical repertoire back in te 80's. He also played jazz with Pierre Bensusan and Al Di Madeola. As for the explosive quality, title alone say's it all. "Sunburst"! So mynightrise is right on and your full of it so clean up yerself.

How do you know A York conceived the piece as a folk/jazz ''feel'? Maybe he conceived it as a classical feel but didn't have the technique to realize his own conception so he settled for a folk/jazz feel since he knows that better?
There is something irritatingly pompous about people like you who comment on people whose behinds you aren't fit to wipe.

Flawless technically and a fairly good and balanced classical interpretation but borring because it lacks the folk/jazz feel and explosive qualities that A.York conceived when he composed this virtuoso type of show piece.
I love her guitar.
